Synopsis: Asha belongs to the new generation of Disney “princesses,” who don’t always have to be searching for their prince charming. Rather, they are attempting to determine their life’s purpose. That could be the reason why some of my favorite movies from the last ten years include “Tangled,” “Manoa,” and “Frozen.” Here, she resides on a Mediterranean island where the people’ dreams are at the mercy of the king, a magician by the name of Magnifico. In actuality, the residents physically give Magnifico their dreams when they reach eighteen, forgetting about them each month. He offers one person the opportunity to recall their request and have it fulfilled. To be honest, this is perhaps the best original hook they have had for a movie in a long time.
