Synopsis: An older man come back to the beach where he surfed as a boy. He takes his teenaged son with him, hoping to recapture the past and share his love for surfing. But the beach has undergone changes. A gang of hostile local surfers now dominate the shore. When the man attempts to surf, they jeer and ask him to get off. He is ashamed, particularly in front of his son. Yet, there is something within him that will not quit. The man returns again and again. Each time, the locals are more menacing. They wreck his car, steal from him, and shoo him away. Still, he does not quit. He begins sleeping in his car, roaming the beach by himself. Gradually, he loses contact with reality. He argues with himself and taunts the gang in eccentric manners. He brandishes a dead rat and screams that he will eat it to show his strength. People believe he is losing his mind, but he is convinced. He is fighting for his pride. Ultimately, he takes up his old surfboard and heads into the sea. He paddles out and catches a wave. For that instant, he is alive and powerful. He doesn’t beat up the gang, but he regains his dignity. The movie by Look Movies is about standing up for yourself, being brave, and spirit.
