Synopsis: The Long Game starts in Del Rio, Texas, in 1956. Superintendent JB Peña made a strong impression by submitting an application to join the exclusive Del Rio Country Club, which is exclusively attended by white people. It is clear that his race is the reason he is not accepted into the group. Soon after, Peña gets to know some teenagers who play golf at his high school. With Frank, his brother-in-arms and former military buddy, by his side, Peña decides to start The Mustangs, a high school golf club.
