Synopsis: A rugby squad was scheduled to board Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 in 1972. But it crashes horribly on a glacier in the middle of the Andes. Out of the 45 passengers, only 29 made it out of the crash. Stranded in one of the most hostile settings on earth, they had to take desperate means to survive. J.A. Bayona, the filmmaker, adapts Pablo Vierci’s novel for Society of the Snow. He captures the spectrum of feelings that people stuck in the harsh Andes Mountains go through.
