Synopsis: Steven Lauddem is a composer of music who experiences writer’s block who resides in New York City with his therapist wife Patricia. He is having trouble writing an opera and is experiencing writer’s block. Patricia persuades him to take a walk around the city to get some fresh air and perhaps spark inspiration. It is at a bar that he meets tugboat captain Katrina, who serves as his inspiration. Julian, Steven’s teenage son, develops feelings for Tereza in the meantime. The screenplay, written and directed by Rebecca Miller, is an awkward, strained and artificially uneven work that is both overdone and underdone.
