Synopsis: The movie begins on a typical day in Bikini Bottom, when SpongeBob, the protagonist, gives us a quick rundown of his neighborhood and introduces us to his friends and neighbors. Another character, Sheldon Plankton, interrupts the initially happy mood and quickly assumes the lead because it is his narrative to tell. Inside one of the neighborhood fast-food restaurants, the Chum Bucket, Plankton prepares for another attempt to realize his lifelong dream. Plankton has wanted to rule the world since he was a young boy, and in spite of several failed attempts, he is determined to come up with a new plan that includes his supercomputer wife, Karen.
