Synopsis: “The Forge” is a lovely but predictable drama about faith that borders on preachiness and banality. This is a story about a young man who discovers his identity and purpose, yet the acting is good and the characters are likable. Isaiah Wright, then 19 years old, is seen playing basketball with a few of his pals in the opening scene of the film. In “The Forge,” it is immediately discovered that Isaiah has a video gaming addiction. Although Isaiah is a decent man, he has no life objectives or direction because he graduated from high school a year early. He resides with Cynthia Wright, his divorced mother.
